What Will I Wear For Technical Dinner Tonight?

Setiap tahun, company akan organize technical dinner untuk technical committees.. Only selected people are invited.. This is the place where they reward the engineers and technicians for all succeeded projects.. Tapi, kena tulis paper la.. So, malam ni, aku dijemput untuk hadir ke majlis gilang-gemilang ni.. Actually, this year aku tak dapat award pun.. sebab tak sempat nak submit application..EMAP kat Penang hari tu, dah very close to the dinner. kalau sempat submit, memang akan dapat award.. Kalau aku masih di company ni, InsyaAllah next year dapatlah.. boleh buat koleksi lagi..

Tahun lepas, aku pakai kebaya.. Dapat award, kenalah comel2 sikit nak bergambar, ye tak? hehe… This year, takde award, so, takde apa preparation pun.. pakai aje maternity blouse yang aku beli tapi belum pakai lagi... Dress code formal, tapi aku belasah ajelah.. exception utk orang mengandung, kononnya.. hehe.. Baju aku dah pakai siap2 ke ofis.. karang balik keje, terus pegi, tak payah tukar2 dah.. haha, kat sini kebanyakannya macam tu.. pakai baju keje je pegi.. aku ni pun dah susah, pegi keje carpool dengan orang.. takkan la nak bawak baju dengan hanger semua, payah la pulak nak tukar2 nanti.. jadi, jangan pening2 kepala..

And, what I’m looking forward is a good food at the dinner.. That is the most important! hehe.. Gendang gendut tali kecapi, kenyang perut, suka hati! :P

First and foremost, many thanks to Nuffnang.. Yesterday, I got my first check from Nuffnang.. Who said people can’t make money from blogging? I know the amount is small to be proud of, if compared what top bloggers like Redmummy, Kennysia etc earn from Nuffnang… but, I still happy as it is a good place to start with in this blogging world..

New Jacket Collections..

I just received new jacket from the company.. It is a token of appreciation for the staffs towards improvement of company performances.. I choose the size to be big enough so that it can cover my big belly.. hehe.. I know I will look like a lab technician when wearing it, but, I still happy  because it’s free.. :) And, I am even more happy if there is announcement for bonus for this year.. (harap2 lah!.. )

The other day, I did presentation during Engineering Showcase, and as a presenter, I received one jacket in beige colour. Engineering Showcase is company event for engineer to showcase themselves to the higher management and share technical knowledge with other engineers..

I’m thinking to stitch the jacket with my name on it.. Just like I did on the first jacket I got 2 years ago.. Barulah glamor.. haha..

Salahkah Berseluar Semasa Mengandung?

Erm.. Kerja kat sini, dikelilingi oleh orang yang lebih tua dan boleh dipanggil makcik (almaklumle kilang..), kadang2 menguji ketahanan telingaku.. hehe.. Semenjak kebelakangan ni, rajin pulak diorang menegur aku.. di surau, di kafe atau terserempak di mana2.. kalau bertanyakan tentang baby ke, aku tak la kisah sangat.. Tapi, yang menjadi pertanyaan “Mak Buyung, masih pakai seluar lagi? Kesian baby.. pakailah dress (maxi) bla.. bla.. bla..” Aku hanya mampu tersengih aje.. Ada tu, “Tak ketat ke seluar?”.. Kalau aku jawab, “Ketat kan, sexy…” Boleh tak? hehe.. Mungkin itu yang ada dalam pemikiran diorang bile tengok aku berseluar setiap hari..

Haish, jangan risau, yang aku pakai ialah maternity jeans atau maternity pants.. memanglah nampak fit aje kat kat luar… tapi, kat bahagian perut, loose sangat.. asyik2 aku tarik seluar aku sebab getah selalu nak terlondeh.. haha.. Kerja aku yang melibatkan aku banyak berjalan ke sana-sini, duduk kat tester and PC yang berselirat dengan segala macam cable, membuatkan baju atau kain yang kembang2 tak sesuai, sehinggakan selama aku bekerja, aku tak pernah berbaju kurung ke ofis.. Aku harap mereka memahami la.. Aku selesa dengan apa yang aku pakai..

Note: Kalau pakai “Seluar Bolos”, lagilah jadi issue agaknya.. apa tu Seluar Bolos? kalau tengok gameshow Bolos, “Bersedia atau tidak, bolos saja dinding itu..”, mesti tau seluar apa yang aku maksudkan.. haha.. seluar ketat kaki burung tulah.. :P

Amazing Race: Meghan and Cheyne, You Guys Rock!

I just finished watching the finale of Amazing Race.. My heart beats faster as the race goes on.. Really hope Meghan and Cheyne could win the race.. and finally, the USD1 million belongs to them.. What I can say, both did a very good job in the race.. Meghan was playing really smart!!

Friendster New Look.. Can Friendster Beats Facebook?

Dah lama tak buka Friendster, lebih2 lagi semenjak join Facebook ni.. Tadi, ter”singgah” sekejap sebab nak baca message baru dari kawan.. Friendster Layout dah bertukar seperti gambar kat atas tu.. erm, not bad, tapi, rasanya Friendster ni dah tak berapa glamour la.. hehe.. kawan2 yang update status pun dah kurang.. nak lebih news yang up-to-date, better check in Facebook.. tak henti2 diorang update status (sometimes sampai bosan orang yang sama, aku hide orang tu.. kehkehkeh).. mentang2 la zaman handphone canggih-manggih sekarang ni, kat ceruk mana pun boleh ber”twitter”, “facebook”ing, blogging etc.. Nasib baik aku tak addict sangat dengan Facebook.. Kalau tak, ada jugak yang sanggup beli handphone baru nak semata2 nak ber”Facebook”ing 24/7.. hehe..

Note: Dulu, beli Dopod 838Pro semata2 nak main game Susun Guli.. Belum sempat dapat main, Dopod ku dah jahanam.. huhu.. takde rezeki dan kuanggap sebagai pengajaran supaya jangan membazir.. :P

Sehari Di Pulau Mutiara…

Basically, sepanjang hari ni aku attend conference aje.. Last nite, Ely picked me up at the airport.. Tumpang tido rumah dia semalam.. Then, this morning, Ely tolong hantar ke stesen teksi.. So, aku amik cab ke Gurney Hotel, where the conference took place.. Tonight, I stay at the hotel.. because tomorrow will be last day for the conference..

Sampai je hotel, terus check-in.. paling penting, aku nak simpan luggage yang bertambah berat dek buah tangan yang aku pesan kat Ely tu.. lenguh tangan aku.. hehe.. Lepas dah settle, baru proceed dengan EMAP registration..

Sebenarnya, malam ni ada invitation dinner with the IEEE committees, tapi, aku tak rasa nak pergi… Ada plan nak keluar makan malam dengan Ely dan Han Chin.. Erm, terasa nak makan rojak buah la.. (gara2 tengok gambar rojak buah dalam blog Qast la ni.. huhu)

I’m Off To Penang..

Maybe time ni (kalau flight tak delay lagi), aku dah berada di Penang, Pulau Mutiara.. I will attend EMAP conference esok pagi di Gurney.. 2 of my joined-papers will be presented during the conference.. Kalau aku yang kena present, tentu dah nervous gile.. hehe.. I will be back to KL on Thursday night..  

Note: Baru perasan kat ticker tu tulis, dah 7 months since my wedding.. sekejap je masa berlalu, sekarang dah December.. Tak sabar nak tahun baru, tak sabar nak cuti panjang… hehe..

Owh, talking about cheap baby sling, actually during my trip to Bukittingi few years back, I saw Ely’s aunt was using kain batik for baby sling.. It already been practiced by women there (in Indonesia)a long time ago.. And, it gave me an idea.. To make it looks more stylish yet within budget, why not I buy good quality of fabric and then, `paksa` my brother to sew it (I’m afraid using the sewing machine.. hehe).. So that, I can own one baby sling.. We see how it goes..

Confessions of a Shopaholic

 
Aku tau aku sudah terlambat menonton movie ni.. it just happened that my husband bought new DVD (dengan kata lain DVD-CR (CR stands for Cetak Rompak).. kehkehkeh).. and this is one of the movie in it, so we both watched it together last week.. owh, apa yang best tentang DVD ni, 1 DVD consists of 4 different movies in it.. Memang berbaloi-baloi.. haha.. Kalau nak tau mana nak dapatkannya, boleh tanya my husband yang expert :P

Confessions of a Shopaholic is an adaptation from Shopie Kinsella novel.. Nak membaca novel, entah bilelah akan dapat abis satu buku.. Jadi, menonton di kaca TV adalah idea yang lebih baik.. Overall, we did enjoyed watching the movie.. If I can stay 2 hours in front of TV and didn’t do something else, that was good enough.. :) Isla Fisher character being an impulsive liar and addicted shopper really captured my attention.. ada ke orang macam ni dalam dunia?? hehe.. ada kot..

Btw, have you heard about the world class premium factory outlet will be opened in Johor? Read this for more info.. Bagi yang sukakan designer bag yang mahal2 seperti Coach, Prada, Burberry etc, this place  will be a heaven for them.. For me, it makes no difference (at this moment la).... hehe..
